Checklist

Welcome to our STI testing checklist!

The Check Me Out checklist lays out STI tests, vaccines, exams and a recommended testing schedule. It was designed for members of the 2S/LGBTQIA+ community living in Nova Scotia; but it can be used by anyone looking to access sexual health services.

Throughout the checklist we use ‘medical’ language for anatomy. That is to help avoid confusion, but you should use whatever language you are comfortable with when describing your own body.

This tool has been developed in collaboration with partner organizations, doctors, and healthcare providers. It should not replace medical advice given to you by a healthcare professional regarding your own health or situation.

To use this tool, all you need to do is fill out the following questions to get a custom sexual health checklist. If you are showing symptoms of an STI, you should get checked out by a healthcare professional as soon as possible. To learn more about where to get STI tests done take a look at our page: Testing in Nova Scotia.

The following questions are asked to build an accurate checklist for you, so we encourage honest answers. We will not be collecting any identifying information; filling out this form is completely anonymous.

*Please note: this tool is not designed for youth under the age of 18. If you are under 18 and looking for testing information you can reach out to the following organizations for support: Sexual Health Nova Scotia Member Centres, Youth Project, SUGAR Health, or The Red Door (Kentville area).
